Bishop Moore Vidyapith, Mavelikara is named after the late Bishop Edward Alfred Livingstone Moore, the fourth Anglican Bishop of Travancore-Cochin (1925-37), who had made significant contributions in the field of general and higher education during his tenure as a missionary in India. The Vidyapith, managed by the Madhya Kerala Diocese of the Church of South India, is instituted primarily to provide education.
