Carmel English Medium School, Thakazhy is is a Catholic educational institution established in 1995 by the CMC Sisters of Holy Queen's Province Changanacherry. St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the founder of CMC was a great educationist and is our inspiration. In a time of exclusion and class struggle, St.Chavara became the champion of the inclusion whereby students from all background and strata could come together and sit on the same bench enjoying equal opportunities for all . Carmel is a home of care and love and is a happy experience for students because everyone in this family feels accepted and respected. The management is very much concerned in giving quality education and in inculcating moral and spiritual values among students . Regular periods are allotted for moral education and examinations are also conducted. Various kinds of cultural and co-curricular activities like sports and games , dance,yoga,Karate,key board,school band etc. are being conducted for the physical and mental growth of students. Spacious class rooms ,seminar hall, conference hall, laboratory, library cum reading room and open play ground are the particular features of this school.
