Tarini Charan girls school as the name suggests is the school for girls. It is affiliated to the secondary board of education, Assam. The school is playing a significant role in nurturing productive thoughts in younger minds. In addition to this, the students are polished to serve the country as a prudent citizen and contribute to the philanthropic cause of society. This school is the fruit of struggle and gratitude of Lt Pramila Bala Choudhury.After the death of her husband she gave all his earnings and saving to the school. She was the daughter of Lt Sonaram Raj Medhi, Who was the founder of Sonaram High School. Inspired by her father's works she gave 16,000 Rs to the foundation of the school. This school later became the girl's school in Kamrup District.
