The Little Stars Sr. Sec School, Digboi is one of the premier institutes of upper Assam, run by a charitable trust – The Little Stars Trust, Digboi. The school is affiliated to Central Board Of Secondary Education, New Delhi. It is situated in the northern side of the town in a natural set-up. At present there are more than 1300 students reading in the classes from Nursery to class XII. On a land of measuring 3 acres area the school has a beautiful campus, having a suitable infrastructure necessary for imparting quality education. Adjacent to the school there is a playground measuring 5 acres. 16th February 1981 is the day of Inauguration of the school. The venture was started with eleven students and three teachers, without the knowledge of most of the people of the town. A permanent body – The Little Stars Trust was formed in 1985 to run the school. The school is fortunate to have some sincere & dedicated teachers in different stages of its development due to which it was able to mark its position in the town within a short period of time. The trust members are mostly school & college teachers and some social workers. The school got its strong foundation due to their sincere & dedicated service.
