Mayura Matriculation School was started in the year 1986 at Moovalur and Malliyam Village in order to offer education to the village and poor peoples.. Also with an idea of helping poor and down trodden students hailing from SC and Back Ward classes who were unable to persecute their studies with their meager recourses in their hands owing to utter milling poverty and illiteracy of the parents. After improving the matriculation school in the above said village the school was then extended in Mayiladuthurai Town initially at Cauvery Nagar and then finally Mayura Matriculation was well established at Vaduga Street with all infrastructures.
