Purwanchal Nagarik Samity, a multifaceted organization in the Kankurgachi area, serving the society since 1976, always felt the need of a well-equipped school in the Eastern Metropolis of Kolkata and took a humble step in this direction. The dream of having a school became a reality in the share of PURWANCHAL VIDYAMANDIR at P-232, C.I.T. Road, Scheme - VIIM (Kankurgachi), Kolkata - 700054, which commenced from the academic session 1998-99.
