This symposium is the second episode in a series of ten symposia aimed at teachers, headteachers, department heads and other stakeholders in education. During this symposium, we’ll look at the importance of communication in education. We’ll discuss why communication in 21^st_century education is not just about effective message delivery from teachers to students but also a fundamental element in the development of future-ready skills such as collaboration, critical-thinking, problem-solving and active listening. We’ll also examine ways in which teachers can enhance their students' communication abilities along with their own, to cultivate a relationship of trust and mutual respect among themselves, their colleagues and the parents of their students.

The symposium aims to address questions such as:

How important are communication skills in career development and for future success in the 21^st century?
What is the connection between good communication skills and effective teaching and classroom management?
How can teachers improve their oral and written communication skills?
How can schools leaders help their staff members develop their communications skills?
How can students improve their oral and written communication skills?
How can teachers and school leaders help students develop their oral and written communication skills from an early age?
How can parents help their children develop their communication skills outside the class?

Certification

This symposium is certified by Qualifications and Assessments International (QAI), UK, a private international awarding, accrediting, assessing and quality assurance body, specialising in teacher training, teaching qualifications and assessments.

To get a Certificate of Participation, you must attend the programme for minimum 30 minutes. If you meet the certification requirements, your digital certificate will be immediately available to you on your Zamit personal page.
