Description
Bishop Westcott Schools were founded by the Rt. Rev. Foss Westcott then Metropolitan of India in 1921. Formely belonging to the Conference of Anglo Indian Schools. The Institution now belongs to the Diocese of Chotanagpur (Church of North India) with the Bishop of Chotanagpur, the Rt. Rev. B.B. Baskey as its President. Bishop Westcott Girls’ School, Doranda is the “Brain Child” of the Rt. Rev. Z.J. Terom, the former Bishop of Chotanagpur and the former Moderator of the Church of North India, who was keen on continuing the principles, ideals and visions of the Rt. Rev. Foss Westcott.
