Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kolazhy, Thrissur, a Vidyalaya with a difference, has carved a niche for itself in the field of education. The Vidyalaya had a humble beginning in the year 1979. A group of dedicated devotees of Chinmaya Mission Educational and Cultural Trust, Thrissur, is working behind every activity of the Vidyalaya. The Vidyalaya became a full-fledged secondary school in 1990. In 1991 the Senior Secondary classes were started. It was started to perpetuate the ideals of its founder H.H. Swami Chinmayananda and his vision of "catching them young". The Vidyalaya has gained the ISO 9001:2008 in the year 2009 [from December 2009].
