Having seen the educational needs of the area, E.C.L Management invited many leading organizations to lighten the lamp of knowledge in this remote corner of Jharkhand. However the offer was declined by them all due to some or other reason. But D.A.V. with its universal approach ventured to hold that responsibility in spite of many hurdles and hardships.In fact 28th August 1995 dawned a new era in the history of CHITRA an educationally deprived coalfield area having a bulk of tribal population that witnessed D.A.V. as a ray of light and hope for life.
