Oblates of St. Francis de Sales (OSFS) Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, (De Sales Oblates), is a Roman Catholic religious congregation founded by Blessed Louis Brisson in Troyes, France in the year 1875. The Charism of the Oblates is to Live Jesus according to the Spiritual Directory, whose end and means are union with the Will of God. We Oblates strive to accomplish our mission by the practice of the Spiritual Directory and observance of our Constitutions. We live the vows of chastity, poverty and obedience, normally within a common life, based upon Salesian spirituality and fraternal love. We believe in the value of prayer that is both personal and supportive.
