Description
Dimapur Railway High School is one of the oldest schools, not only in Dimapur but also in the entire state of Nagaland. The necessity of an educational institution at the heart of the town was felt by the then educational enthusiasts of Dimapur. Thus, in accordance with the above, this deemed institute came into existence in the month of November of the year 1951 by the then P.W.I. of Manipur Road, Sri Purna Chandra Ghose with only 25 students in the present Railway land and in a thatched house. The school began with a team of qualified professionals namely: Sri Satya Charan Deb, Sri Sachin Dasgupta, Sri Kasinath Bhattacharjee headed by Sri Kumud Bondhu Bhattacharjee.
