Gyan Mata vidya Vihar Sr.Sec. School was opened in Nanded on 20th June 1988 by the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales who are working in India since 1845. The Missionaries of St.Fransis de sales are a society of Fathers and Brothers founded by Fr. Peter Mermier in 1838 at Annecy France. It was his desire to instruct the Youth and lead them along the right path. For This purpose he started preaching mission, conducting camps and running Educational institutions.
