Jawahar D.A.V.Public School was established at Jaggayyapet under the joint management of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant & D.A.V.Collge Managing Committee in June 1989 with 150 students and 10 staff members. It is a Project school and is located in a limestone mining area at Jaggayyapet, Krishan Dt, Andhra Pradesh. It caters to the educational needs of V.S.P. Employee’s children and the children of surrounding villagers.The present strength of the school is 535 and with a staff of 24 members.
