JNV, Pfukhro Mao, Senapati-1 is one of the nine Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya established on 16 different district of Manipur. It is situated on the hills of Pfukhro Village, Mao. It is run by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, New Delhi, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Education, Government of India.The Samiti is further sub-divided into regions and JNV Pfukhro Mao comes under the Shillong region which is the operating centre for all the JNVs in the Northeastern India.As other JNVs, it is fully residential and co-educational school affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, with classes from VI to XII.
