Kendriya Vidyalaya (in Hindi : केन्द्रीय विद्यालय) is a system of central government schools under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The system came into being in 1962 under the name "Central Schools" and has been affiliated with CBSE since then. Later, the name was changed to Kendriya Vidyalaya. Kendriya Vidyalaya, Chandrapura was established on 17.10.1983 in CTPS, Chandrapura, Bokaro, Jharkhand, It is Project Vidyalaya of DVC. It covering large area. It has its own pucca grand building having spacious classrooms, big library of good books, well equipped computer labs , playground for all round development of child's personality. The quality of education by highly educated teaching staff and self disciplined habits inculcated in the children. It is a co-educational institution from I to XII.
