It is 311 kilometers far away from states capital city Bangalore and 358 kilometers from Hyderabad it is the nearest city after its state capital, previously Ballari was a part of Madras State it was one of the districts of Rayalaseema.And part of Hyderabad State for some days,Ballari was transferred to Karnataka in 1956 when states were formed, currently it is one of the districts of Hyderabad-Karnataka region.
