Description
Kendriya Vidyalaya Damana was opened in the year 1987 as Defence sector school in Military station Damana at Lalle – da – Bagh in the temporary accommodation; provided by the sponsoring authority, Army Brigade, Damana. Initially the vidyalaya was opened upto class V and subsequently upgraded and presently the vidyalaya is running upto class X ( single – section ). In the year 2014 , the sponsorship of the vidyalaya was changed from Defence sector to civil sector under the sponsorship of State Government , Jammu and Kashmir, due to the reason that accommodation provided by Army authorities at Lalle – da – Bagh was declared unsafe and has shown their inability for transfer of land to KV – Damana.
