Description
Kendriya Vidyalaya is a part of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, which is an autonomous body under the Ministry of HRD. The schools are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. Kendriya Vidyalaya I.O.C. Haldia is one of the several Kendriya Vidyalayas all over the country. There are three KVs in abroad too. KV IOC Haldia is about 100 Km away from Kolkata. This Vidyalaya was established in the year 1986 under the noble guidance of Mr S. N. Sarkar, Executive Director, Haldia Refinery, IOC Haldia who was the first Chairman, VMC with Shri S. K. Rudrapaul -Principal of this Vidyalaya. Initially it was up to class-VI level. Now it is a full fledged school running with all three streams (Science, Humanities and Commerce) at plus 2 level under the guidance of Mr. L. Sah.
