The prolonged struggle by thousands of central government employees for more than a decade for a second KV in Calicut materialised in 1995 with the insception of KV NO 2 Calicut.the drems of thousands of people was fulfilled when the Vidyalaya started in a temporary building owned by motor vehicle dept, government of Kerala on first September 1995.the credit of the humble begning of kv 2 goes to the the parents who had formed a committee for materialising the kv. The efforts and cooperation extended by the district collector Mr U.K.S Chauhan was also notable. The first 10th STD came out with 100%pass during 2000 to 2001 Since its inception the Vidyalaya has achieved great heights in academic and non academic activities.
