Description
The school is named after mar Augustine kandathil, the first and longest serving metropolitan and head of the syro-malabar church. The school stated functioning under the name “Mar Augustine Memorial School “in the year 1945. I took its first steps with standards 5, 6, 7 in the same year. It was a co-educational institution in its infancy; Sri PP Devassy was the first head master. In the year 1946, the school was given the status of high school and the head master in charge was rev.fr.nedankallel.in 1952, the leadership was transferred to the hands of Rev Fr. Joseph vilangettil.The school enjoyed the best years during his captaincy.
