Rilbong P.N. Chaudhuri Higher Secondary School, which was founded in 1970 as a Proceeding High School, owes its inception to the Rilbong M.E School, created in 1957 as an offshoot of the Rilbong L.P School. Named after its Founder Late P. N. Chaudhuri, ex-MLA and ex-Editor of The Shillong Times, this co-ed school is located at a vintage point, hemmed between bustling civilian habitation and serene Defense establishment, yet tucked away from the hurly burly of the town. The School boasts of a fine self-contained campus noted for its peaceful and disciplined environment ideal for educational purposes. The School has three storied building presently but owing to resources, the school is not able to spread its wings further as far as the infrastructure is concerned.
