The school was established in 1983 styled as Punjab Rural Public School. It was a dream come true for Sardar Sadhu Singh Shergill as he had nursed and cherished an ambition to establish a school/college which could provide quality as well as meaningful education to the students of rural area. The establishment of the school marked a significant step in the history of imparting quality education in the rural areas of Punjab which was dotted with dilapidated school buildings.
