Seharabazar Chandra Kumar Institution, a government aided co-educational HS School started its journey on 19th January, 1946 on a plot of land donated by a local benevolent person Chandra Kumar Kundu, a keen educationist. The initial mission of the school was to impart formal education to the economically backward students who were deprived of education for lack of money and suitable educational institutions on the locality. The school is named after its founder Chandra Kumar Kundu.
