In the year 1975 dawned a new era in the history of education with the foundation of Shri Guru Nanak H/S Public School, Rudrapur under the aegis of Shri Guru Nanak Shiksha Samiti. It opened new vistas 1n the field of education. It was the first English Medium Public School to be established in the town, with a visionarymission.The school was founded to provide value based quality education to one and all irrespective of caste, creed, religion etc. Special efforts were made to reach out to thelesser privileged, down-trodden and the economically weaker strata of the society.It had a humble beginning with only a few students and a couple of teacherswho taught in small rooms with thatched roofs.
