St. Joseph's School, Darjeeling was founded by Fr. Henri Depelchin on the 13th day of February 1888, at Sunnybank, Darjeeling with 25 students on the rolls. It was shifted to its present location in 1892. North Point celebrated its 125th year anniversary on February 13th, 2014 which was graced by the presence of the then President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee. North Point ranked 2nd among boarding schools in West Bengal and 10th in India according to the Education-World. The school is divided into four divisions: Primary Division Classes 3 to 5, Lower Division Classes 6 to 8, Upper Division Classes 9 and 10, Senior Division Classes 11 and 12. The Primary and Lower divisions have 4 house captains each while the Upper and Senior divisions have monitors to assist the teachers.
