Description
Swadeshi Academy, one of the premier educational institutions in North-East India, was established in 1994, Guwahati, Assam. The institution from its conception to actual realization, owes everything to the untiring efforts and foresight of one visionary individual, Professor Nareswar Sharma. Prof. Sharma, the founder Director of the Trust, constituted a rare blend of an ingenious mind and a sympathetic heart. Professor Nareswar Sharma, the founder of Swadeshi Education Trust, which runs the Swadeshi Academy Junior College (Science & Commerce), the Swadeshi College of Commerce and the Swadeshi Academy (School Section), was born at Hatigarh village of Nagaon District in the year 1940 to the humble parents, Ratneswar Sharma and Champamai Devi. The noted educationist passed away on 8th October, 2007. During this short span of life, Prof Sharma brought out those humane qualities that should dwell in men. Prof Sharma did not stop after lying down the foundation of the Swadeshi Education Trust but toiled inexorably to ensure that the students passing out from his institutions are capable enough to meet the challenges of the competitive world outside.
