The Beginning: It is interesting to note as to how the school was started. The movement began in the month of February 1961 when the Presbyterian Church Synod in its annual session revolved to open a Christian High School. In the beginning of the next year, the School was started and officially opened on march 8, 1962 by Shri B.C Roy, the then Deputy Commissioner of Mizo district. At the very outset, Rev.Lalngurauva Ralte, a man of letters and energetic was the headmaster. He was assisted by a pitiful number of two other teachers-Tv. in Mission Veng Presbyterian church) one peon-cum chokidar Pu Hrangtinthanga.
