The Sponsor Mrs. P. Sultana Zaru along with some educationists from public life and also well wishers considered it expedient to establish a Model School in Narwara locality in 1983, to meet the needs of fast developing lower parts of Srinagar and to foster amongst children of these localities the growing activities and provide the children with the modern education.
