V.P Mahamood Haji Memorial Senior Secondary School situated at an enticing location at kakkad,three kms away from Kannur Town ,was founded in 1997, affiliated to the Central Board Of Secondary Education ,New Delhi-No-930757. It is named after visionary Janab V.P Mahamood Haji who strove for better education for the marginalised community.Initially the school functioned in Darunnajath Yatheem Khana complex, Kakkad. The foundation stone for the new building was laid by the spiritual leader Syed Panakkad Muhammed Ali Shihab Thangal on 11th March 2004. The institution aims at providing an excellent learning ambiance where students learn to excel in multiple domains-spiritual, physical, mental and intellectual. The institution is governed by Darunnajath YatheemKhana Committe, Kakkad.
