Description
Viveka School of Excellence (VSOE) is run by Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM), a developmental organization. The school was started in the year 2002 and is located in the beautiful campus of SVYM's headquarters at Saragur in H D Kote taluk and is about 57 km from Mysuru. Viveka School of Excellence provides access to quality education at an affordable cost, for the children of H.D.Kote and saragur Taluks from the age group 3 years to 16 years. As articulated by Swami Vivekananda, the school's vision is “We want the education by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded, and by which one can stand on one's own feet”. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The school has 515 children studying from pre-school to 10th standard. The curriculum here is based on the concept of Multiple Intelligence; the learning is activity oriented and child-centric. The pre-school is based on the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori.
